Snow days have little impact as Crystal Palace fans warm to close of season survival battle

March 8 – The snow and cold weather that gripped England last week and into the weekend failed to have much impact in premier League attendances for Round 29 of the season.

While large numbers of matches across all of the other professional divisions in England were cancelled, all Premier League fixtures went ahead with the clubs reporting a total average attendance of 94.84% of the capacity of their stadia.

Crystal Palace again topped the chart with 384 more reported seats filled than the official capacity of Selhurst Park. Only Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley reported under 90% of the stadium full, with 21, 689 seats unfilled. All other clubs were over 92% with six over 97%.

Brighton’s resurgence is being played out in from of packed crowds with just 130 unfilled seats for their Sunday lunchtime kickoff. Swansea were third in the table with Welsh fans delighting in their own mini-resurgence.

The Insideworldfootball stats are taken form the official stadium capacities and the official reported match day attendances. No allowances are made for seat reductions due to local authority, safety or media requirements.
