Concacaf reschedule abandoned Women’s U17 Chmapionship for June in Florida

May 14 – The Women’s U17 Concacaf Championship that was abandoned last month in Nicaragua after three matches due to civil unrest and security concerns in the country, will resume in June in the US.

The competition will qualify three teams for the U-17 Women’s World Cup Uruguay 2018.

Haiti and Mexico from Group A and Bermuda, Canada, Costa Rica and United States from Group B – will dispute the remaining group stage matches from June 6-8 at the IMG Academy, in Bradenton, Florida.

Group winners, plus the second-place finishers, will advance to the semi-finals to be played on June 10. The final and third place play-off will take place on June 12.

Current champions USA are looking for their fourth consecutive title in this age-group. Current group standings are:
