Polish fintech firm crosses into new territory with Welsh national team deal

August 30- Polish online currency exchange and money transfer company, Conotoxia, has secured a four-year partnership with the Wales football team, its first in the UK.

Conotoxia will be the ‘Official Money Partner of the National Football Team of Wales’ through to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022, and will work with FAWales and the national team across money transfers, payments, currency exchange and Forex.

CEO and sole owner Marcin Pioro said: “The partnership with Welsh football is a perfect introduction into the UK market for us. The expanding Conotoxia Holding group is dedicated to being the ‘go-to’ platform for global financial services, and we are excited to work with FAWales to develop the brand over here.”

Conotoxia has transacted more than $5 billion in the past year, operating in 26 currencies. Under the Wales partnership it will promote its Conotoxia and Cinkciarz (which is anchored to the Polish market) brands. Although new to UK football, the company already has had relationships with the UEFA Under 21 Championships in 2017, the Polish national team at the 2018 World Cup, and the Chicago Bulls basketball team.
