England expects. Deliveroo delivers new deal

September 3 – Food delivery app Deliveroo has signed a multi-year sponsorship deal with the English FA for all its representative teams.

Deliveroo will also partner with the Emirates FA Cup.

The deal will see Deliveroo become England’s first sleeve sponsor, with its logo to appear on the training kit of all senior sides, starting with the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Mark Bullingham, the FA’s chief executive, said: “Deliveroo is an ambitious and growing company and it’s fitting that they join us at a time when the England teams are going from strength to strength and the Emirates FA Cup is reaching a larger audience than ever before.”

Deliveroo was founded in 2013 and has also been going from strength to strength. Last month it raised $575 million in capital funding, bringing the total raised to date to $1.53 billion as it aggressively expands.

Will Shu, Deliveroo founder and chief executive, said: “We couldn’t be more excited to support the England teams. Both the men’s and women’s teams are doing incredible things and we’re proud to be playing a part in their success. The Emirates FA Cup is a global phenomenon and as a business that is expanding across the world we can’t wait to see what we can achieve together.”

No value was given for the sponsorship.
