Brazil’s Pacto pelo Esporte becomes member of SIGA

October 28 – SIGA (Sports Integrity Global Alliance) has expanded its base in South America with the addition of  Brazil’s Pacto pelo Esporte joining the integrity organisation’s growing membership and adding a corporate backbone to the sports integrity lobby.

Pactor pelo Esporte (Pact for Sport) is an organisation promoted by athletes throughout Brazil and has the support of an impressive line-up of corporate sponsors including Accor, Banco de Brasil, Carrefour, Decathlon, Itau, Mastercard, Siemens, Santander and VISA.

The organisation is a “a private and voluntary agreement between Brazilian sports sponsoring companies, which aims to contribute to sports entities practising professional, integrity, transparency and governance.”

Pactor pelo Esporte chief executive Daniela Castro (pictured right) officially signed as a SIGA member with SIGA CEO Emmnuel Medeiros de Macedo at a sports integrity conference in Brazil last week.
