First Sports Integrity Week speakers announced for September webinars

August 5 – SIGA has announced the first set of speakers for the inaugural Sport Integrity Week, September 7-11.

The 2020 edition will take place as a series of webinars designed to deliver global content and offers all participants engagement, visibility and connections to senior executives, thought leaders, policymakers, forward-thinkers, global sponsors, media and champions on sport integrity.

First speakers announced are Andrea Traverso, Director Financial Sustainability and Research, UEFA; Kelsey Erickson, Executive Director of Athlete Health and Wellness, USA Cycling; Ian Smith, Commissioner,. Esports Integrity Commission; João Paulo Almeida. Director General, Comite Olimpico de Portugal; Akaash MaharajCEO Mosaic Institute and Ambassador-at-large, GOPAC; Gary Kalman, Director of the US Office at Transparency International, former CEO, FACT Coalition; Fred Lord, Director, Anti-Corruption and Transparency Operations, ICSS; and Giovanni Di Cola, Special Advisor, Office of the Deputy Director General, ILO.

Webinar content will be structured around five core themes:

  • Good governance, anti-corruption and international cooperation in sport;
  • Financial integrity, transparency and sustainability in sport;
  • Sports betting integrity;
  • Youth development and child protection in sport
  • Sports business, media and technology
