May 7 – Bayern Munich and Canadian starAlphonso Davies has become one of the world’s first players to embrace cryptocurrency opportunities with the planned launch of a Non-Fungible Token (NFT) collection in June 2021.
Davies’ crypto launch comes with a difference in that each piece of digital art will be accompanied by an exclusive real-life experience with Davies through a golden ticket.
An NFT is a unit of digital data stored in the blockchain that certifies the digital asset as unique and not interchangeable. NFTs can be items such as photos, videos, audio, or other types of digital files. The NFT has a value and becomes tradeable, tracked on blockchains to provide the owner with proof of ownership.
Davies’ NFTs will be hosted and traded on Binance’s NFT marketplace that is currently preparing for launch. Binance is a leading blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency exchange.
The NFTs in Davies’ collection will feature three unique designs and will be created US-based illustrator Jack Perkins with the input of Davies’ audience with a social campaign allowing fans to vote on each aspect of the collections’ designs.
Three winners through a raffle format will receive a limited edition NFT along with the chance for one golden ticket winner to meet Davies and be presented with a signed UEFA Champions League winners shirt.
