September 6 – Inter Milan and its Inter Academy offshoot has partnered with Team Mind Sports Academy in Dubai to launch a new Inter Academy.
Inter Milan has launched 21 academy partnerships worldwide with a focus in China but including Europe and South America. The pace of the roll out had slowed down with covid pandemic, with the last Inter Academy projects being launched in Brazil and Turkey in the summer of 2020.
The new project will consolidate Inter’s presence in the Middle East with the club saying that it has plans to further develop the Inter brand in the UAE.
Team Mind Sports Academy is a start-up created with the goal of providing training for local children and young people and running football-related activities. Inter Academy Dubai will provide youth training supported by Inter Academy coaches and local instructors, who will themselves receive training from Inter staff.
“The opening of this new Inter academy in Dubai is a move of strategic importance for us, reflecting the club’s continuing international development in a key market like the UAE,” said FC Internazionale Milano CEO Corporate Alessandro Antonello.
The Inter Academy will begin operation this month.
Team Mind Sports Academy chairman Yousuf Ali Behzad said: “We are looking forward to delivering a world class programs through highly qualified coaches from Inter, providing detailed assistance and care for both UAE young players and families who can access our state of the art facilities.”
