January 29 – Increasingly concerned about how to manage next summer’s delayed Euro 2020, UEFA has brought in a leading expert in communicable diseases to help with the procedure of somehow letting fans into the 12 stadiums being used for the pan-European tournament.
January 20 – UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin, who has been wrestling with how to successfully and safely put on Euro 2020 ever since it was delayed by a year because of Covid-19, is now considering staging it in a single country, according to Bayern Munich boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

January 15 – European governing body UEFA has been caught in a storm over Euro 2020 ticketing. In the new terms and conditions, ticket holders have only until January 26 to cancel tickets for the continental finals which were postponed by a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

November 13 – Elation for some, heartbreak for others. The race for places at next year’s delayed Euro 2020 reached feverish excitement Thursday night as the final four spots were decided.
November 3 – UEFA is considering Russia as the sole host for Euro 2020 according to French newspaper Le Parisien. The governing body have not confirmed the report.
June 11 – Amsterdam will remain a host city for next year’s Euro 2020 after its hosting credentials were questioned over the tournament’s postponement.
May 19 – UEFA has postponed a key executive committee meeting until June 17 as it grapples with how the remainder of this season’s Champions League and Europa League campaigns will pan out.

November 26 – Russia’s staging of four matches at Euro 2020 is reported to be under threat after a World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) committee recommended the country be banned from hosting sports events for four years.
