Turk Telekom takes naming and broadcast rights to Turkish eSuper League

April 27 – The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has agreed a two-season deal with state telecoms giant Turk Telekom to become the title sponsor and official broadcaster of the Turkish eSuper League.

The renamed Turk Telekom eSuper League comprises 17 teams and will be organised by the TFF for the first time this year. The matches – played on the FIFA 23 platform – will be broadcast live on Tivibuspor channels on Turk Telekom’s TV platform, Tivibu.

“Turk Telekom will be the name sponsor of the eSuper League in April-May 2023 and November-May 2024 seasons and will be one of the Tivibuspor channels on the TV platform Tivibu. eSuper League will broadcast matches. In addition, Turk Telekom will provide both cash and promotion and infrastructure support during our cooperation,” said TFF president Mehmet Buuykeksi.

“I believe that this cooperation of two strong brands will have a great impact on the faster development of our eSuper League.”

Buuykeksi  said he expected clubs will be able to significantly increase their revenues with the upgrading of the competition.

“With the eSüper League we have established, our clubs will also be able to generate significant income from eFootball, which has a large economic volume. 128 matches were played in our eSüper League, which completed its 300th week. The number of viewers in our league… is increasing exponentially every week.”

Turk Telekom CEO Umit Onal added: “The agreement we made with the Turkish Football Federation is very valuable in terms of taking eFootball forward in Turkey, which is developing rapidly in the world and is followed with great interest in our country. As Turk Telekom, we are happy to implement collaborations that will expand and develop the ecosystem, while developing products and services that will contribute to the expectations and needs of the eSports world, with our knowledge in technology and digital transformation and our understanding of creating value.”

No value was given for the sponsorship or the technology provision.
