Besiktas signs new shirt deal with payments specialist Papara and launches club bank card

June 22 – Turkey’s Besiktas has signed a new sleeve and back of shirt sponsorship deal with electronic money and payment operator Papara.

The deal is for three years starting with the start of the 2023/2024 season.

The partnership between the two sides was announced at a special press conference at Vodafone Park Stadium in Istanbul, attended by club president Ahmet Nur Çebi, Papara CEO Emre Kenci and others.

As part of the deal, Besiktas fans will be able to apply for club-branded BJK bank cards and take part in various promotions.

BJK Card holders will also benefit from Papara’s Cashback program, which provides instant cash as they spend, at Kartal Yuvası stores. Further benefits include the chance to participate in signed jersey and ticket lotteries and to participate in experience-oriented events.

“Our friendship with Papara, which started with the sponsorship last year, has made significant progress in a short period of one year. As Beşiktaş JK Board of Directors, our strategy of “new sports economy focused on equity and infrastructure” has been one of our main focuses since the day we took office. This focus determines our entire sponsorship strategy,” said Ahmet Nur Çebi, president of Besiktas.

He added: “In this direction, Beşiktaş adopted Papara and Papara adopted Beşiktaş. As Beşiktaş JK, we believe that this bond is based on common values. The past period has been a fruitful year in terms of sponsorships and therefore its returns to Beşiktaş JK. The goal is always to grow by multiplying. Papara was the best example of this.”
