Galatasaray renew SIXT shirt sponsorship in 5-year €100m deal

June 28 – Turkey’s Galatasaray have renewed their shirt sponsorship deal with SIXT Rent a Car for a further five years.

SIXT became the club’s main sponsor in the 2020/2021 season. The Turkish giants will receive €100 million over the five years of the new deal.

The club said in a statement that details for the deal will be announced in July, but defined the deal as “the biggest sponsorship agreement in Turkish sports history.”

The contract will be signed in euros and will not cover European tournaments in which Galatasaray will participate.

“SIXT rent a car, which has been the main sponsor of Galatasaray Football A Team since the 2020-21 season, continues its support for our club by signing the biggest sponsorship agreement in Turkish sports history. In accordance with this preliminary agreement, the details of which will be announced at the beginning of July, Galatasaray Football A Team will continue to carry the SIXT rent a car brand on the chest of its jersey. We thank our sponsor for his unwavering belief in Turkish football and the Galatasaray brand. Now is the time to reach greater victories with a stronger Galatasaray,” said the club’s statement.

At the same time the club announced that it is changing its official health sponsor from Medical Park Hospitals Group to Medicana Health Group.

The most comprehensive and international health sponsorship agreement ever made in our country was signed between our club and Medicana Health Group,” said the club.

“We would like to thank the Medical Park Hospitals Group, which has been the health sponsor of our club since the 2010-2011 season for their services and contributions to date.”
