October 12 – Greek online gaming operator Stoiximan has become a sponsor of the Cyprus national football team in a four-year deal signed with the Cyprus FA.
Stoiximan has a strong presence in Greek football have agreed a naming rights sponsorship of the Greek Super League in February in a deal that runs for the ran for the remainder of the 2022-23 season to the end of the 2024/25 season.
As well as being called the Stoiximan Super League Championship , the bookmaker receives stadium branding and in-stadia activation opportunities.
The Cypriot deal was signed in presence of the CFA’s technical leadership and national team and was described by the CFA as “a very important collaboration, since it will now be the Major Sponsor of our National Team. At the same time, in the context of the cooperation, faithful to the principles and values it advocates, it will proceed with many actions to give back to the local community”.
The Cypriot deal is for the Stoiximan brand, but the bookmaker has a growing global presence in football under the Betano brand in Germany, Romania, Portugal, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Nigeria.
The CFA emphasised Stoiximan’s social responsibility and that its support for football has been “decisive”. The CFA also highlighted Stoiximan’s marketing pitch to online gamblers of “the big games with 0% rakes, enhanced returns, countless betting options and Cash Out!”
CFA president Giorgos Koumas said: “Such collaborations and sponsorships fill us with satisfaction and pride, since it is a great honor for us that big internationally renowned organizations trust us and work with us. We are confident that the agreement we are announcing today with Stoiximan will go beyond the limits of a standard sponsorship agreement and will develop into a relationship of mutual respect that will benefit both parties. We will work with complete professionalism and dedication to implement all the provisions of the agreement between us which marks a new era for both our national team and Stoiximan.”
Country manager for Stoiximan in Cyprus, Angelos Hontoulidis, said : “The start of our cooperation with the Cyprus Football Association is a development that makes us particularly happy. I hope that our cooperation will bear fruit at all levels, and especially at the competitive level, that it will bring success to our National Team.”
