Kosovo FA enlists with military to boost infrastructure

February 28 – The Football federation of Kosovo (FFK) and the country’s Ministry of Defense have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation for the development of joint projects.

“The FFK and the Ministry of Defense have taken an important step towards promoting cooperation and developing joint projects for the benefit of the community in Kosovo. The leaders of the two institutions, Agim Ademi and Ejup Maqedonci, signed the Memorandum of Cooperation in a meeting held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense”, said the Kosovan FA in a statement.

This Memorandum of Cooperation commits to improving the sports infrastructure, but at the same time also helping the sports activities of Kosovo’s soldiers.

One of the major initiatives is the KSF (Kosovo Security Forces) donation to the National Camp in Hajvali, which includes the supply of containers, fence posts, and electric posts with reflectors and flag posts.

The KSF will also offer support to the FFK across the country with facilities using its engineers and equipment to build and improve pitch facilities.

In return the FFK will provide its expertise for the maintenance of natural grass fields in the KSF barracks and will support the KSF sports training and the participation of KSF teams in competitions organised by the federation.
