Founded in 1912, C.D. Olimpia are the most successful and popular team in Honduras, based in Tegucigalpa. They have an impressive and dominating record of 39 league titles in the Liga Nacional de Honduras, no other team comes close.
They are also the only Honduran club to have won the CONCACAF Champions Cup twice (1972 and 1988). This will be their 26th appearance in the Champions Cup, the last one being in the group stages of the 2008-09 edition.
Argentine coach Pedro Troglio joined the club in late 2025 bringing the values of his own playing career as a robust and efficient defensive midfielder with a hard-working ethic to his management and team expectations
