Shakira tunes up for a big World Cup

May 15 – Having been announced as one of the acts to perform during the half time show of the World Cup final this summer, her song Dai Dai, recorded with Burna Boy, has been released as the official World Cup 2026 song.

Released via Sony Music Latin, the song is available now on all streaming platforms.

Revenue raised from the sale of the song will go to support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million by the end of the tournament which will be targeted at providing children around the world with access to education and football opportunities.

Shakira’s royalties from Dai Dai are being donated to the Education Fund, while Sony Music said it will match the first $250,000 raised with a donation.

The Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album, a new initiative for this competition has now released five songs from the album. FIFA said there will be more to come in the upcoming weeks, with additional singles set to be released as anticipation for the tournament continues to build.

FIFA said that “the growing soundtrack reflects the global spirit and diversity of the FIFA World Cup, bringing fans together through the universal languages of music and football.”
