October 27 – Galatasaray have signed a major new extension with Puma, tying the two together until 2036 in one of the longest-running and most lucrative kit deals in Turkish football.
The agreement, which continues Puma’s role as official kit and sportswear supplier, was confirmed at a ceremony at Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex – Rams Park.
Club president Dursun Aydın Özbek was joined by vice-president Abdullah Kavukcu, alongside PUMA Türkiye and Middle East CEO Taner Seyis and Puma Türkiye Team Sports Director Taylan Akgöz.
According to Turkish journalist Burhan Canterzi, the deal has been valued at €83 million, including €14.5 million in performance bonuses, under a 5+5-year structure.
The renewal waters the plant of the partnership which first launched in 2023. As part of the extended deal, the sportswear giant will continue to design and produce Galatasaray’s kits, training wear and fan merchandise, while also ‘working closely’ with the club on marketing, youth development and various unnamed fan engagement projects.
Officials from both sides described the agreement as a strategic collaboration rather than a straightforward sponsorship, with Puma set to play a wider role across Galatasaray’s multi-sport structure.
Galatasaray, standing as one of European football’s most marketable clubs, provides the perfect foothold for Puma’s growth in Turkey.
For the club, which is growing its global footprint, the ten-year extension represents both financial certainty and a commitment to consistency in brand identity heading into the next decade.
Galatasaray president Özbek, described the renewal as a symbol of stability and ambition: “This agreement is not only a sponsorship but a strategic partnership that reflects Galatasaray’s history and future. Having a global brand like Puma by our side strengthens our vision to compete at the highest level in both Turkish and international football.”
Taner Seyis, CEO of Puma Türkiye and the Middle East, said the partnership marks a record for both organisations: “This is the longest and most valuable contract we have ever signed in Turkey. Galatasaray plays a vital role in representing Puma’s visibility in the region. We are proud to support Turkish sport and look forward to new projects that will enhance this collaboration.”
