Mexico banks on Ria Money Transfer for MexTour and 2026 finals

November 21 – Ria Money Transfer has signed a multi-year commercial agreement with the Federación Mexicana de Fútbol (FMF) and Soccer United Marketing (SUM), becoming the official remittance services partner of the Mexican men’s and women’s national teams in the United States.

The move plugs Ria directly into one of the most powerful and loyal fanbases in North American sports, where Mexico’s national teams routinely pack US. stadiums and draw massive television audiences.

“At Ria, we are proud to sponsor the Mexican Football Federation, supporting both the men’s and women’s national teams on their qualifying journeys to major international competitions,” said Rosario Escarpita, senior vice president and managing director Americas.

“This partnership connects our brand to a symbol of national pride that, like our money transfer services, brings Mexicans together no matter where they are.”

Much of the partnership centres on MexTour, the long-running U.S.-based series that has become a cultural staple. With an estimated 65 million fans across North America and average crowds hovering near 50,000 for more than a decade, the Mexican national team has built a presence in the US that outdraws many domestic sports properties.

“The Mexican National Team has one of the most passionate fanbases in all of global soccer, and we are privileged to be welcoming Ria, a global leader in financial services, to our roster of partners,” said Carter Ladd, Soccer United Marketing chief revenue officer.

Ria will take on the send-off role for Mexico ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, aligning the brand with a team entering a high-demand cycle after its 2025 Gold Cup and Nations League titles.
