Clattenburg out of action for second weekend as investigation continues

November 6 – Mark Clattenburg, the referee at the centre of English football’s latest storm, is being stood down for a second successive round of Premier League action next weekend as an investigation continues into allegations that he used “inappropriate language” towards a Chelsea player during last month’s controversial 3-2 defeat by Manchester United.

October 19 – Former England captain John Terry has chosen not to appeal against the four-match ban and £220,000 ($353,000/€271,000) fine imposed on him for racially abusing Anton Ferdinand of Queens Park Rangers a year ago – and has apologised for his comments.
