September 30 – With Football Kenya Federation elections looming, football in Kenya continues to be overshadowed by the claims of intrigue, corruption and manipulation. Notwithstanding the commercial and administrative mess and infighting he has created within Kenyan football, President Sam Nyamweya (pictured) hangs on and remains in the race for another four year term, whilst FIFA’s role, especially the apparent lack of action of its Ethics Committee, appears increasingly indefensible.

Sacked Keshi hits Nigerian FA with $4m lawsuit

July 27 – Former Nigerian national team coach, Stephen Keshi, who was sacked by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) after his name came up in a list of applicants for the vacant Ivory Coast coaching job, is suing the NFF for more than $4 million in compensation, according to local reports.

June 24 – The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has had a busy week, criticising national teams for their lack of success, holding manager Steven Keshi to account for allegedly making a job application to another team and attempting to haul record-breaker Vincent Enyeama up on charges he brought Nigeria into disrepute.
