May 15 – MP&Silva will reportedly not be stumping up more cash for the Kenyan Football Federation’s (FKF) attempt to set up a new Premier League in its own name, in a week in which the Kenya Premier League (KPL) moved to lay down the basic rules for player participation in the Kenyan national team games.

April 24 – The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has finally reappointed Stephen Keshi as manager of the national team for the third time, bowing to the wishes of Nigeria’s out-going President Goodluck Jonathan, in a ceremony at which NFF President Amaju Pinnick was conspicuous by his absence.
April 23 – The Somali Football Federation (SFF) has again called for African Peacekeeping troops to withdraw from the country’s National facility in Mogadishu and allow it to be returned to football.

April 22 – The Ugandan Court of Appeal has rejected the Uganda Super League (USL) Limited application to stop the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) and Azam TV implementing their sponsorship and broadcast agreement for Uganda’s Premier League.
April 13 – Morocco and Tunisia say they have settled their differences with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) following their respective spats over the African Cup of Nations.

April 8 – Any concerns Sepp Blatter may have had that his solid support base in Africa could be in danger of waning as he bids for a fifth term of office have been swept away. As expected, African Football Confederation chief Issa Hayatou pledged his members’ total backing for Blatter at this week’s CAF Congress.
