Kosovan FA says UEFA’s Romania sanction should be harder and sets a bad example

September 22 – The Football Association of Kosovo (FFK) has reacted strongly to UEFA’s decision to punish the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) with a fine of €52,000 and one match to be played in front of empty stands, saying the sanction should be greater.

September 21 – Spain’s FA (RFEF) has dismissed yet another key figure and admits it “deeply regrets” its role in the “institutional crisis” in the wake of the country’s Women’s World Cup victory that was overshadowed by the ‘kissgate’ scandal.

Spanish women agree to end boycott; RFEF commit to immediate change, but is Rocha staying?

September 20 – Most of Spain’s women’s World Cup-winning players ended their boycott of the national team early today following an overnight meeting with officials and a promise from the country’s football federation (RFEF) that it would make “immediate and profound changes”.

September 19 – Spanish women’s football has been plunged into yet more controversy and confusion after a raft of players continued to refuse to play for the national team despite new interim head coach Montse Tomé naming 15 of the World Cup‑winning squad for upcoming Nations League fixtures.

Kosovo earmarks €250m for new national stadium

September 18 – Kosovo is to invest €250 million into the construction of a new national stadium. The news was announced by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, with the money to be released after Kosovo has been chosen to host the Mediterranean Games in 2030.

Slovenian clubs surprised after Jarc cleared of abuse allegations from women’s players

September 15 – A report commissioned by the Slovenian FA (NZS) has largely absolved former women’s national team coach Borut Jarc (pictured) from a series of allegations after an open letter by his players detailing the unprofessional and sexist environment during team camps led to his departure.
