France 2019 World Cup completes National Supporter line-up with Orange deal

March 20 – Women’s football is on a commercial roll. With nine nations confirmed as formally expressing interest to host the 2023 Women’s World Cup yesterday, the France 2019 Local and Organising Committee and FIFA have announced the sixth National Supporter sponsor for the World Cup to be played June 7 to July 7.

FIFA Council recommended to approve VAR for France 2019 Women’s World Cup

March 5 – The FIFA panel overseeing preparations for the Women’s World Cup on Monday has recommended the use of the video review technology to help referees at the finals in France this summer, paving the way for the FIFA Council to ratify VAR next week.

Packed stadium sees Dutch women lead Swiss in race for Europe’s last France 2019 spot

November 12 – The Netherlands defeated Switzerland 3-0 in the first leg of the Women’s World Cup play-off final on Friday to take full control of the tie as Sherida Spitse, Lieke Martens and Vivianne Miedema all got on the scoreboard in the second half. The second leg is set for Tuesday.
