November 2 – UEFA shared an eye-opening €1.345 billion between 42 clubs last season, an increase of €315 million on the previous season. Top of the table of high earning clubs were semi-final losers Manchester City (€83.8 million), Real Madrid CF (€80 million), Juventus (€76.2 million) and Paris Saint-Germain (€70.8 million).
November 2 – Being the poor relation doesn’t necessarily mean poverty. UEFA’s 56 Europa League clubs shared €411.1 million in payments for the last season of competition. Although a far cry from the €1.345 billion shared by the 42 Champions League clubs, it was a whopping €240 million increase on the 2014/15 season.
November 2 – In what will be construed in some quarters as a move totally lacking in compassion, FIFA has rejected a request from England and Scotland for their players to wear Armistice Day armbands featuring poppy symbols during next week’s World Cup qualifier at Wembley.

November 2 – The festering, simmering dispute in Middle East football has taken another twist with the head of the Palestinian FA warning he will attempt to have Israel punished by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) if FIFA fails to find a solution over the delicate issue of Israeli clubs based in the West Bank.
November 2 – Premier League attendances across the league dipped slightly last weekend as a percentage of total seats available, however, eight teams still filled more than 90% of their capacity and Spurs again showed how urgently they need their new stadium with just 265 unfilled seats in the reduced capacity White Hart Lane.

November 2- Jose Mourinho’s troubled start to his return to English football has taken another downward spiral after the Manchester United manager was handed a second charge in a week by the authorities, this time following his dismissal during Saturday’s 0-0 draw at home to Burnley when United had a record 37 shots at goal.
