June 5 – Having taken ownership of Italy’s Serie A champions on Internazionale on May 22, US investment fund Oaktree Capital Management has wasted no time taking control, appointing a new 10-person board.
May 23 – US-based fund Oaktree Capital Management has formally issued a statement that it has taken ownership of the Serie A champions Internazionale after Suning Holdings Group, led by Steven Zhang, defaulted on a €395 million loan taken out three years ago.
May 21 – Serie A champions Inter Milan could have a forced changed of ownership at the end of today if the club fails to repay a €270 million loan, plus interest, that was granted in 2021.

August 14 – Serie A giants AC Milan and Internazionale look set to have different home grounds for the first time in their history after the San Siro, which was due to be demolished, was saved by the Regional Commission for the Cultural Heritage of Lombardy due to its history and cultural significance.

June 11 – Manchester City and their Abu Dhabi owners claimed their first European Cup with a narrow 1-0 victory against Inter Milan to complete a historic treble. Midfielder Rodri scored the winning goal in the 68th minute in a final shorn of quality and marred by operational issues with fans struggling to access and exit the venue.
