MATCH Hospitality appoints agents in China for Euro 2012

January 14 – MATCH Hospitality has appointed Shankai Sports as the exclusive sub-agent in China for selling Club Prestige Hospitality Programmes for the European Championships, which take place later this year in Poland and Ukraine.

Shankai was the exclusive hospitality sales agent in China for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

The programme offers a range of packages which include match tickets, services and dedicated facilities at stadiums; with entertainment, gifts, dedicated staff and gourmet catering among the benefits.

Euro 2012 gets underway when Poland take on Greece on June 8, and finishes on July 1.

MATCH executive chairman Jaime Byrom said: “The appointment of Shankai Sports International as the exclusive sub-agent for the marketing and sales of official corporate hospitality packages for Euro 2012 for China, Hong Kong, Macau and Chinese Taipei further extends our existing partnership.

“We are excited at the prospect of more Chinese fans coming to Europe to enjoy this world-class event from a unique vantage point and in an environment befitting the status of the tournament.”

Shankai Sports International chief executive Tao Feng added that his organisation was “honoured to have been appointed as exclusive partner to MATCH Hospitality and UEFA in China.

“I’m convinced that there are going to be many Chinese fans wanting to enjoy Euro 2012.”

MATCH have also made Pamodzi Sports Marketing Nigeria the exclusive sales agent in that country for the sale of official hospitality programmes for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The company have the rights to sell hospitality packages for the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil, the traditional dry run for a host country ahead of the following year’s World Cup.

“Pamodzi Sports Marketing’s approach, strong client base and relationship with the Nigerian Football Federation will add immense value to MATCH Hospitality,” said Byrom.

Pamodzi Sports Marketing chief executive Mike Itemuagbor added: “This appointment presents a huge opportunity for Nigerians to take advantage of, and be part of, the excitement that abounds for the 2014 World Cup.”

MATCH is also the exclusive rights holder worldwide of the FIFA hospitality programme for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups in Russia and Qatar respectively, as well as the 2015, 2019 and 2023 Women’s World Cups.
