Louis Saha to lead the line at SIGA Champions session, November 18

November 10 – Former Manchester United, Fulham and France striker Louis Saha will lead the line at a special ‘SIGA Champions’ session on November 18.

The online session will look at the role star athletes have in changing the social and political agenda and culture. Included will be a discussion on the role athletes have to play in setting the sports integrity agenda.

“Now, more than ever, athletes are standing up for causes they are passionate about.

Today, more than ever, individual athletes are changing the world,” said SIGA.

“From driving governmental policy change to leading social movements, the impact of the athlete goes far beyond the field of play. However, how can the individual athlete play a larger role?”

Alongside Saha, confirmed speakers include:

Ben Gollings, World Record Holder Rugby 7s, Former English Rugby Captain, International Master Trainer – Coaching & Education, Optimisation Hub; Cameron Myler, Four‐time Olympian in the sport of luge, Clinical Assistant Professor, New York University’s Tisch Institute for Global Sport, Arbitrator, Court of Arbitration for Sport & SIGA Champion; Karin Korb, wheelchair Tennis, 2- Time Paralympian Champion & SIGA Champion; Miguel Oliveira, Moto GP 2 Champion & SIGA Champion; and Stacey Copeland, first British Woman to win the Commonwealth Title for Boxing & SIGA Champion.
