Inter agree 3-year deal with China’s Hisense

August 22 – Chinese household appliances and consumer electronics manufacturer Hisense has signed a three-season partnership with Serie A’s Chinese-owned Inter Milan.

No value was given for the sponsorship that will run through to the end of the 2024/25 season.

To date Hisense has generally focussed its football sponsorship around major tournaments, being a sponsors of the Qatar 2022 World Cup and more recently the Women’s Euros. The Inter deal is the company’s first foray into Italian club football.

Hisense Italia CEO Gianluca Di Pietro explained: “A significant collaboration between Hisense and Inter … won’t be limited to brand visibility as it’ll also provide the relevant businesses with opportunities for integration. This choice has been mulled over for a long time and has come about thanks to our shared values and the efficient set-up at the Nerazzurri.

“This is the start of a long pathway for Hisense, which will lead to the development of new projects in the coming years that will represent a major step forward for both parties and be part of a successful future together.”

Hisense will have brand visibility during home games on pitchside LED boards and on the jumbo screen. Inter will use the Chinese multinational’s products across its operations.

Inter CEO Corporate Alessandro Antonello said: “We’ve noticed that Hisense has the same level of focus on innovation and striving to achieve excellence which makes this club stand out. We’re convinced that this collaboration will see both brands achieve major new targets.”
