December 6 – Korean motor lubricant company SK Enmove has expanded is Asian regional sponsorship with FC Barcelona into the Middle East to include the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain.
SK Enmove, who first partnered with Barca in 2018, will become the club’s official engine oil or official lubricant in the added territories through to the 2023/24 season.
SK Enmove was Barca’s first Korean partner in a deal that covered South Korea, China, Vietnam and Thailand, and was later expanded into Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, among others.
The marketing activation has been through themed co-branded products featuring first team players on product packaging. Club related content and localised initiatives have also leveraged the Barca with content published in local languages on Facebook, Weibo and WeChat.
