Arsenal book in Hotels.com for multi-year sponsorship

October 11 – Premier League joint-leaders Arsenal have agreed a multi-year sponsorship with hotels.com that will see the booking website become the club’s exclusive hotel partner.

The deal will also earn the travel app the title of official partner for both men’s and women’s teams, as it aims to invest in supporting women’s football.

Last week that Arsenal set a new WSL attendance record during their league opener versus Liverpool, as 54,115 fans piled in to the Emirates to watch their team.

The sponsorship will see hotels.com given prominent brand visibility at men’s and women’s matches at Emirates Stadium and at Meadow Park, and allows access to Arsenal’s men’s and women’s players for promotion and exclusive content creation.

Juliet Slot, Chief Commercial Officer at Arsenal, said: “A big part of the enjoyment of football is travelling to matches home and away, across the country, around Europe and when we go further afield on tour. We’re delighted to have Hotels.com as a like-minded partner who shares our passion for bringing supporters together to experience the excitement our games bring. We’re looking forward to working together and helping Hotels.com  to connect with all our supporters in unique and exciting ways.”

No value was given for the sponsorship.

“Football is a universally loved sport, drawing millions of fans who travel far and near to watch their favourite teams,” said Jon Gieselman, president of Expedia Brands. “Our goal is to enhance this passion by simplifying and creating a seamless travel experience for fans. Teaming up with a prestigious club like Arsenal, we not only open more doors for Arsenal fans to travel but also unite fans from all around the world and make every game an unforgettable adventure.”

Arsenal return to Premier League action on October 21st as the Gunners take a trip across London to face Chelsea, whilst Arsenal Women’s side will be hoping to pick up their first win of the WSL season versus Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium this Sunday.
