Fenerbahce sign shirt deal with Medicana Health group for women’s team

October 16 – Turkey’s Fenerbahce has signed a shirt sponsorship deal with Medicana Health Group for its Women’s team. The Medicana logo will feature on the back of shirts.

No value was given for the one-season deal.

“We are happy to share with you our new sponsor, which will be on the back of the jerseys that our Fenerbahçe Petrol Ofisi Women’s Football Team will wear in the 2023-24 season. Medicana Health Group has been working together with Fenerbahce for many years, and has been in valuable cooperation with Fenerbahce University, and today we are taking a new step in the field of sports sponsorship,” said Fenerbahce secretary general Burak Çağlan Kızılhan.

Referencing the growth of the women’s game and the cultural change it is bringing, he continued: “We strive to ensure that our female athletes are on the field with more support and to be an inspiration to all segments of society.”

Operating in Turkey since 1992, Medicana is one of the largest healthcare groups and largest companies in the country with more than 10,000 physicians, nurses and staff in more than 15 hospitals.

Medicana Health Group Board Member and CEO Reha Özkaya said: “We are proud to be a brand that Fenerbahce relies on… In fact, we are living in a historic day. Fenerbahce Petrol office put forward its claim very seriously. By giving this support, I expect them to win the championship they missed last year and share that joy together. Our goal is to ensure that people take preventive health measures not only when they get sick, but also before they get sick. According to the report given by the World Health Organization in 2022 alone, 500 million people will get sick in the next 10 years as a result of inactivity. If we support sports, we also contribute to preventable health services.”
