CAF to launch Yalla app alongside first AFCON Morocco 2025 ticket release

September 15 – With just 100 days until AFCON 2025 kicks off on December 21 – full name TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 – organisers have confirmed how fans will be able to secure their seats for Africa’s biggest football event, and unveiled new digital tools aimed at modernising the matchday experience in the process.

Ticket sales open September 25, but supporters will be able to pre-register online from September 12-24 via the CAF website to receive early notifications.

Long-term partner Visa will operate an exclusive two-day pre-sale window for its cardholders, starting at midday Moroccan time on September 25. General sales begin at 14:00 on September 27, when 30% of available capacity will be released.

A second window follows in October, again with Visa cardholders given early access before another 30% of tickets are put on general sale on October 23. The final phase opens on November 21, when the remaining allocation for all matches will be available.

CAF used the announcement to also confirm that a new hospitality partner will be announced later today, expected to directly tie in with the ticketing push.

In a first for the tournament, CAF’s new Yalla App will launch September 25 and will be the central information hub for fans. The confederation has said that every ticket holder will be required to register for a Fan ID through the app, which will also provide ‘seamless’ entry to stadiums and fan zones as seen across UEFA and FIFA events which have also gone digital.

Supporters travelling to Morocco will be able to use Yalla to apply for an E-Visa, while all users will receive live updates, tailored content and exclusive features. CAF is billing the app as a ‘game changer’ that will make Morocco 2025 the most digitally connected AFCON yet.
