December 11 – Current Concacaf Champions Cup holders Cruz Azul from Mexico will open their defence of the title against losing MLS Cup finalists Vancouver Whitecaps next February in the stand-out tie of the first round of matches.
Concacaf held the final draw for the 27 clubs qualified for the 2026 Champions Cup in Miami on Tuesday. The final of the 61st edition of the 2026 Champions Cup, Concacaf’s top tier international men’s club competition, will be played May 30.
There are 11 nations with club sides in the finals with then MLS having the most representative with seven. Mexico’s LigaMX have six teams in the finals.
In the first round there is one other MLS-LigaMX clash, with PumasUNAM drawn against San Diego.
Round One’s two-leg ties will be played in February 2026 with the aggregate score winner progressing to the Round of 16, joining the five clubs already pre-seeded into the round.
The Round of 16 will be played in March 2026, followed by the Quarterfinals in April, the Semi-finals across April and May, and the Final on Saturday, May 30.
