December 16 – Serbian football powerhouse Red Star Belgrade have signed a co-operation agreement with the Eagles Sports Academy from Dubai, a renowned sports institution focused on developing young football talents and coaches.
The collaboration will primarily focus on players aged three and a half to 21 years old. Key joint activities will include coach education, the exchange of professional knowledge and experience, and the organisation of football camps. This partnership aims to enhance football education and provide optimal conditions for young talents in Dubai.
Svetozar Mijailović, President of Red Star Belgrade, highlighted the club’s commitment to expanding its influence and sharing its expertise.
“Red Star is expanding its network of partners with the intention of transferring the experience it possesses in organisation and coaching to the academies it will cooperate with,” said Mijailović. “This is an academy operating abroad that possesses significant potential. It will benefit our club to place our knowledge and experience outside the borders of Serbia in this manner. Based on our experience working with other academies, we can say that a large number of talented children have emerged from similar academies and then continued their work at our club. Many of them have achieved the goal and desire of working in the youth categories: reaching the first team. I hope that the co-operation with the academy in Dubai will also result in some boy playing here on our stadium.”
Nebojša Čukanović, Director of the Eagles Sports Academy, emphasised the significance of partnering with a prestigious European club.
“We founded the Eagles Sports Academy six years ago in Dubai. We offer football training services for players aged three and a half to 21 years old. We are currently one of the leading academies in Dubai,” stated Čukanović. “The partnership with Red Star, a club with tradition and reputation in Europe, means a lot to us. Through cooperation with Red Star, we will upgrade the quality of our coaching. Red Star coaches will train our coaches in Dubai, and a camp will also be organized for children from our academy, as well as for all other children from Dubai who will have the opportunity to meet quality Red Star coaches.”
Čukanović added that the goal is to bring European football closer to children in Dubai and show them how training is conducted at a major club. The best performers will have the opportunity to receive an invitation from Red Star Belgrade.
“I would like to thank Red Star for recognizing our quality and giving us the opportunity to cooperate,” concluded Čukanović.
This partnership further confirms Red Star Belgrade’s dedication to the long-term development of young players and the strengthening of international cooperation in football education.
