February 10 – The Disciplinary Commission of the Football Federation of North Macedonia (FFM) has officially issued a two-year ban from all football-related activities to Muamed Sejdini, a delegate of the FFM Assembly and former President of the body.
The decision follows a report by the FFM Board of Directors citing “fraud and misleading a football organisation body,” in accordance with Article 84 of the Disciplinary Regulations.
The investigation centred on a construction contract for a new stand at the “Biljanini Izvori” stadium in Ohrid. According to the Commission, the timeline of events is as follows:
On November 27, 2024, the FFM Urgency Committee accepted a bid from Energoinvest Trejd DOO Skopje totalling 202,919,610 MKD (excluding VAT). Crucially, the approved terms did not include an advance payment.
On December 3, 2024, acting as the then-president, Sejdini signed a contract that differed from the approved bid. He allegedly inserted a 20% advance payment clause.
The advance was subsequently paid out without a bank guarantee and without proper authorisation from the Board.
The Disciplinary Commission concluded that Sejdini abused his position to mislead the FFM Board of Directors, resulting in significant material damage to the Federation.
“By acting in this manner, it was determined that Muamed Sejdini defrauded the Board and caused serious financial harm, necessitating the maximum disciplinary sanction for this violation”, FFM said in a statement.
This ruling effectively removes Sejdini from the footballing landscape in North Macedonia for the duration of the 24-month penalty.
