May 22 – The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has signed a one-year sponsorship agreement with NATA Holding, although the terms of the deal remain undisclosed.
NATA Holding, one of the top 250 largest construction companies in the world, employs over 7,500 people in Turkey and abroad.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu underlined the importance of the agreement, drawing attention to the fact that the women’s and men’s national teams, as well as the youth national teams, will benefit from the sponsorship deal.
“Sport is one of the biggest markets in the world,” he explained. “The biggest player in this market is football. When it comes to sport in our country, football comes to mind We are signing strong partnerships so that football players have the best opportunities and can achieve permanent success.
“They [sponsorship deals] help our youth achieve their goals both financially and spiritually. We would like to thank NATA Holding and all our sponsors, who have become supporters of Turkish football.”
Hacıosmanoğlu was also keen to emphasise that the TFF’s commercial portfolio is an ever-expanding project, with further sponsorship deals in the pipeline. “This is not an advertisement, it is a heartfelt agreement. The number of sponsors is increasing every day,” he added.
Speaking at the meeting, NATA Holding Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Yusuf Buğra Tanık stated that Turkey’s national teams boast a common sense of pride throughout the country.
“We are proud to support the star and crescent jersey. We do not see this agreement as an advertising opportunity but as national pride. The stronger the infrastructure of a country, the brighter its future, the more a country’s team is supported, the higher its flag flies.
“We will show that football is not only experienced on the field, but also in schools, streets, homes and hearts. We will undertake very special social responsibility projects in the next year. This agreement is a matter of loyalty. I hope that our star and crescent jersey will always be remembered with victories. As NATA Holding, we are present at every moment of the national teams.”
