Albania putting infrastructure investment at heart of growth plan

July 1 – The Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) has implemented one of the largest historical investment programs in sports infrastructure during the last season, with a total of approximately €8.5 million spent on various projects throughout the country.

Over €6.2 million of the total investment was financed directly by the Albanian Football Federation, while the rest was carried out in cooperation with the federation’s strategic partners.

“The invested fund is focused on the construction and reconstruction of stadiums, the construction of new fields, the improvement of existing infrastructure, as well as important interventions in the framework of the UEFA U-17 European Championship that took place in Albania in May-June 2025”, said FHSF in a statement.

Among the most important projects in which the Albanian FA has invested during this year are the Egnatia stadium in Rrogozhina, the Vora and Besa stadiums in Kavaja, as well as the stadiums in Gramsh and Përmet. Also, reconstructions of fields have been carried out in Elbasan, Korçë, Krujë, Gjirokastër, and Durrës.

As part of the 100 Fields project, during this season, two new pitches were built in the premises of the National Football Base, the training field of the Dinamo City complex was inaugurated in Arbëna, and several social projects were carried out in support of the “Different Weekend” initiative.

Also, a new pitch was inaugurated in cooperation with the Soccer Star Academy in Shtoj, Shkodër, while new pitches are in the process of being built in Gjirokastër, Prrenjas, and Librazhd.
