November 4 – Hip-hop duo OutKast are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their mainstream breakthrough album Stankonia by teaming up with football and lifestyle magazine MUNDIAL to launch a limited-edition jersey.
The partnership brings together two worlds for the launch of Stankonia FC – which reimagines the classic record as a fictional football club.
It comes at an interesting time for the Atlanta rap icons, who will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this week and with their home city preparing for a stint as a host venue for the 2026 World Cup.
And in a wider merch drop which takes inspiration from the album’s black and white Stars and Stripes backdrop, a hoodie and a pair of T-shirts will also be released.
The jersey features the album name on the back, above the number 25, and the front featuring the group’s name above the lyrics ‘Forever Eva’ from the album’s no 1 hit single Ms Jackson.
