January 7 – In a move to bridge the worlds of traditional sports and digital entertainment, Tencent Games and Turkey’s Fenerbahçe have announced a collaboration aimed at delivering a unique gaming experience to fans and mobile gamers across Europe.
The partnership will integrate the Turkish club into the ecosystem of PUBG Mobile, one of the leading mobile game titles.
Fenerbahçe supporters will gain access to exclusive digital content designed to enhance their gaming experience while showing their club pride.
Players will be able to equip their characters with specially designed Fenerbahçe jerseys and merchandise during in-game events.
“This collaboration with Tencent Games is designed to offer an unforgettable experience to our fans and mobile players across Europe, allowing them to carry the Fenerbahçe spirit into the digital arena,” said the Turkish club.
PUBG Mobile, developed by Lightspeed Studios (a division of Tencent Games) in collaboration with Krafton, Inc., is based on the 2017 hit PUBG: Battlegrounds. The game features a competitive battle royale format where up to 100 players parachute on to a remote island to scavenge for resources and battle to be the last one standing within an ever-shrinking play zone.
Since its launch, it has maintained a dominant position in the global mobile gaming industry, consistently evolving through high-profile collaborations with major brands and sports organisations.
