Inter expands its academy programme Down Under

February 2 – Inter Milan has expanded its global academy footprint with the launch of Inter Academy Sydney and Inter Academy Adelaide, extending the Nerazzurri’s youth development and brand strategy into the Australian market.

The move forms part of Inter’s wider internationalisation push. The club now has more than 15 overseas academies across four continents.

Australia has strong education-led sporting structures and increasing commercial relevance and is a logical fit for the club’s academy development programme.

Both Australian academies will operate under Inter’s training methodology, combining on-pitch development with education, character and personal growth. The model will unlock the opportunity for Inter to scale its intellectual property, coaching standards and brand identity.

“Opening these two Inter Academies in Australia represents an important step in the global growth of our project. Australia has a big passion for football and we are happy to bring our experience and values to them. There is huge potential in the collaboration with CBHS Lewisham in Sydney and Adelaide Blue Eagles in Adelaide. Both partners share our commitment to the development of youth sports and we are pleased to embark on this journey together,” said Luca Adornato, Brand & Marketing Director of FC Internazionale Milano.

Inter Academy Sydney has been established in partnership with Christian Brothers’ High School (CBHS) Lewisham, matching Inter’s philosophy by aligning elite football development with a structured academic environment.

“CBHS Lewisham has always believed in the holistic development of individuals: academically, physically, and morally. The partnership with Inter Academy gives our students a unique opportunity to follow an international-level football programme within an environment that places education and personal growth at its core. As we celebrate the 135th anniversary of our school, this collaboration represents a tangible look toward the future,” said Michael Blowes, Principal of CBHS Lewisham.

In a similar vein, Inter Academy Adelaide will operate alongside semi-professional club Adelaide Blue Eagles, in an effort to strengthen pathways for both players and coaches.

Activities at both academies will begin in April, supported by Inter Academy coaches,
