Dyche promises ‘sweat’ and ‘fight’ in battle to get Everton out of trouble

January 30 – A week after sacking Frank Lampard. Everton have named Sean Dyche as their new manager on a two-and-a-half year deal. The former Burnley manager will have the difficult task of saving the Toffees from relegation.

Vinicius Jr demands punishment after his effigy is hung from Madrid bridge by Atletico fans

January 27 – Real Madrid’s Brazilian forward Vinicius Jr says he expects punishment to be handed out by Spanish authorities against hate crimes after a mannequin wearing his No. 20 shirt was hung from a bridge in front of the club’s training centre ahead of the recent Madrid derby.

January 26 – FIFA’s new Global Transfer Report “with all-time record-setting” numbers has unsurprisingly revealed the dominance and power of the English top flight in the market. The 2022 outlay on player transfers stood at $6.5 billion, still below the pre-covid 2019 record of $7.35 billion.
