May 28 – In its second year of competition, Club América became the first Mexican club to win the Concacaf W Champions Cup tile with a 5-3 win over Washington Spirit of the NWSL at Estadio Hidalgo in Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico.
It was a big win for the Mexican women’s game that for so long has lived in the shadows of their dominant US neighbours.

November 10 – Concacaf has announced the dates and venues for the 2025 Caribbean Cup Final, featuring Mount Pleasant FA of Jamaica and O&M FC of the Dominican Republic. The first leg will take place on Tuesday, November 25, at Estadio Cibao FC in Santiago de los Caballeros, with the second leg set for Tuesday, December 2, at Jamaica’s National Stadium in Kingston.
October 16 – With two match days to go in the international window next month, Concacaf’s remaining three automatic qualification slots are set to go down to the wire.
May 27 –Mediapro has been appointed by Concacaf to produce and distribute the broadcast signal for 30 World Cup 2026 qualifying matches.
May 13 – As the Concacaf 2024/25 W Champions Cup prepares for its final four stage in Monterrey, Mexico May 21-24 – América Femenil face Gotham FC and Tigres Femenil meet Thorns FC in the double header semi-finals – the confederation has released dates for its 2025/26 edition.
May 9 – The 10-team Concacaf Caribbean Cup will play its 2025 edition August to December with three clubs qualifying for the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup.
May 8 – The final of Concacaf’s Champions Cup is set to take place June 1 in Mexico City between Cruz Azul and Vancouver Whitecaps. Two days later the confederation will begin plotting the pathway for clubs into the 2026 edition of the competition with the draw for the 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup.
May 2 – Concacaf has laid out the pathway for nations to qualify for the 2026 World Cup to be hosted in their region. With US, Mexico and Canada qualified as hosts, Concacaf has three more qualification slots and two inter-continental play-off slots to fill.
April 10 – Major League Soccer (MLS) and its youth league initiative MLS NEXT are putting their money where their mouth is by broadcasting the 2025 Generation adidas Cup featuring premier international youth teams.
April 9 – The draw for the semi-finals of the inaugural Concacaf W Champions Cup will see two Mexico vs USA match-ups with Tigres Femenil to play Thorns FC and America Femenil to meet Gotham FC.
February 12 – Guatemala will host the inaugural Concacaf W Futsal Championship from April 29 to May 4 at the Domo Polideportivo in Guatemala City. The tournament will serve as the qualifier for the Women’s Futsal World Cup in the Philippines later this year.
February 13 – The 2025 Leagues Cup schedule has been released and brought smiles to the faces of the Mexican clubs and Liga MX officials after a number of concessions were granted to clubs south of the border.
February 10 – Mexico’s Liga MX have dominated Concacaf’s club competitions for more than winning 18 of the last 20 Champions Cup titles – and they have let everyone know it. But the first round of the Champions Cup completed last week suggests that change is taking place.
December 27 – Tigres’ historic Estadio Universitario stadium in Nuevo Leon, a suburb of Monterey, Mexico, will host the final four of the inaugural Concacaf W Champions Cup Finals in May 2025.
November 11 – Concacaf will return to the Bahamas to host the 2025 Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship next March at the Malcolm Park Beach Soccer Facility in Nassau.
