Man City scores first with Facebook Messenger striker game

December 14 – Manchester City has launched a Manchester City Football Striker instant game on the Facebook Messenger platform, the first Premier League club to embrace the gaming opportunity of the Messenger platform.

The game uses a cartoon footballer at the Etihad Stadium pitch. The game player can play as different Manchester City players with the aim of striking as many bouncing balls as possible to advance in competitions, earn coins and unlock more players.

Facebook Messenger Instant Games is available on iOS and Android devices as well as on desktop, and accessible via any Facebook Messenger app. Players click on the game controller icon within the app and select Manchester City Football Striker to get started. It takes about 30 seconds from clicking on the app to actually playing a game.

Fans can load their score on to the leader board and compete against other fans worldwide.
