January 13 – International sports data firm Stats Perform has been appointed as FIFA’s first official betting data and betting streaming rights distributor.
The multi-year agreement, announced on Tuesday, grants the London-based company exclusive rights to distribute official betting data and live streams to licensed sportsbooks across a wide range of FIFA competitions.
Beyond FIFA’s flagship tournaments, the deal spans “thousands of matches per season” from other competitions available on the FIFA+ platform, significantly expanding Stats Perform’s reach across the increasingly busy international calendar.
Data collection and distribution will be handled by Stats Perform’s RunningBall unit, while Opta will exclusively provide “player statistics, insights, live scores, and trackers” to sportsbook operators. In selected territories, Stats Perform will also distribute live FIFA match streams to licensed betting partners, including exclusive streaming rights to the 2026 and 2027 World Cups via its Bet LiveStreams service.
The partnership extends beyond data and video. Stats Perform’s integrity team will also support FIFA in relation to content covered by the agreement on FIFA+.
“This innovative partnership will create great opportunities to deliver official products for the benefit of the game and its fans,” said FIFA chief business officer Romy Gai.
Stats Perform chief executive Carl Mergele said: “FIFA competitions represent the pinnacle of the world’s biggest game. Our clients will be delighted we’re able to add FIFA competitions to our Opta and RunningBall official betting data portfolio, and our innovative, AI-enriched Bet LiveStreams service. We share FIFA’s vision to help the magic of the beautiful game be felt more deeply, by more fans, worldwide.”
The deal continues a strong run of football rights activity for Stats Perform. In March last year, the company secured an exclusive multi-year agreement with Concacaf, covering competitions including the Gold Cup, the Nations League in select territories, and the Champions Cup.
