February 20 – Whoop has agreed a global partnership with Al Nassr FC, becoming the club’s exclusive fitness, performance and health wearable technology partner through the end of the 2026 Saudi Pro League season.
The deal covers the men’s first team and will see WHOOP’s monitoring devices integrated into daily training and recovery programmes. The two organisations also plan to produce digital content offering supporters insight into performance data and preparation processes.
The agreement formalises what had already been happening at player level. Several Al Nassr footballers were understood to be using Whoop devices independently as part of their personal performance routines – particularly ambassador Cristiano Ronaldo.
Now that Ronaldo has mended relations with his club, that individual uptake of the Whoop product has developed into a club-wide arrangement, aligning the brand with one of the Saudi Pro League’s most high-profile sides.
The focus of the technology is on the use of real-time physiological data to track workload, recovery, sleep and overall readiness, with the intention of providing coaching and performance staff with a broader data set to inform training decisions and long-term athlete management.
Commercially, the partnership gives Whoop visibility through a club with a substantial international following and strong digital reach, particularly with football’s most famous face within its ranks.
From Al Nassr’s perspective, the tie-in reinforces an image built around high-performance culture and sports science investment as the league continues to try and position itself among football’s elite competitions.
John Sullivan, chief marketing officer at Whoop, said: “At the highest level of football, performance isn’t accidental – it’s engineered. Nassr Football Club is setting a new standard for how elite teams think about readiness, recovery and long-term athlete health.
“This partnership reflects a shared belief that sustained success comes from understanding the body, making smarter decisions every day and committing to the work behind the scenes. We’re proud to partner with Nassr as they continue to push what’s possible in modern football.”
