May 5 – Stan Kroenke has increased his stake in Arsenal to 46.1% after officially announcing the purchase of 10,025 shares from Danny Fiszman, the former board member of the Premier League club who passed away last month.
The move was announced by the Regulatory News Service, and Kroenke paid £11,750 (£19,258) per share.
As well as agreeing to purchase Fiszman’s shares, he agreed to buy those belonging to Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith, who left the board in 2008.
Kroenke is in the process of launching a formal takeover of the English team.
It looks unlikely that he will buy all the club’s shares despite being obliged to offer to do so as both the Arsenal Supporters’ Trust and Alisher Usmanov, who own approximately a 30 per cent stake between them, are unwilling to sell.
