West Ham and Everton top attendance table. Spurs seek Wembley joy

December 7 – West Ham topped the weekly attendance table for their home game against Arsenal, with just 20 seats left unfilled in the London Stadium. Plagued by fan violence at earlier home games, Hammers fans have not been put off supporting, especially for the local derby against Arsenal.

Hull hit new low as 8 teams fill grounds by more than 95%

November 29 – Hull City set a season low attendance record in Round 13 of the Premier League filling just 70.69% of their 25,886 capacity stadium. The 7,500 unfilled seats in Hull made up more than half the 14,266 unfilled seats across the whole Premier League.

Premier League hits 4m tickets sold mark as Stoke top weekly table

November 23 – The English Premier League surpassed the 4 million ticket sales mark at the weekend. So far this season only 200,770 match tickets have gone unsold out of a total 4.471 million available.

Hull City attendance slumps as top 8 clubs all report sell outs

November 8 – Hull City became the first Premier League side to dip below 70% capacity for a home league game this season. With just 69.44% of its KCOM stadium full, the 7,818 unfilled seats accounted for just over half the unfilled League seat total of 15,128. Across the league 366,760 seats were filled.

Spurs are the hottest ticket in the Premier League as they wait for new stadium

November 2 – Premier League attendances across the league dipped slightly last weekend as a percentage of total seats available, however, eight teams still filled more than 90% of their capacity and Spurs again showed how urgently they need their new stadium with just 265 unfilled seats in the reduced capacity White Hart Lane.

November 1 – West Ham’s new London Stadium, the central venue for the 2012 Olympic Games but which has been the subject of repeated fan trouble, should be knocked down and rebuilt to suit football, according to one of Europe’s most knowledgeable and experienced stadium experts.

October 27 – Some supporters said the scenes were reminiscent of the dark days of English hooliganism as crowd trouble marred West Ham’s League Cup fourth-round home win over Chelsea on Wednesday, with police making seven arrests.

October 24 – Five Premier League clubs reported capacities of over 99% and nine over 94.99% in the weekly attendance table. A remarkable attendance rate if everyone had turned up and actually filled those seats. But it is clear in Arsenal’s case that the seats may be bought but not all the fans are bothering to turn up.

October 19 – Arsenal and Chelsea have filled more than 99% of the capacity of their stadium for every Premier League home fixture this season (they have each played four), but for efficiency Stoke topped the weekly stadium capacity table with just 42 unfilled seats and a stadium capacity of 99.85%.

October 3 – West Ham’s move into their new stadium has so far brought with it an ugly side that doesn’t seem to be clearing up. For the third time in four home matches West Ham fans clashed with opposition supporter, this time Middlesbrough fans.

September 27 – More than 2 million spectators have crammed in the Premier League grounds after the first six rounds of the season with Swansea, Stoke, Manchester United and Arsenal all reporting more than 99% of their stadium capacities were filled last weekend.
