Copa America 2024 in the US to be played in 14 stadia across 10 states

December 5 – The Copa America in the USA in the summer of 2024 will be played in 14 cities across 10 states. The 32-game tournament will be a tour of the biggest and best stadia the US has to offer with only three of the 14 stadiums having a capacity of less than 65,000.

Brazil’s CBF blames local authorities for security issues at Brazil-Argentina 2026 qualifier

November 23 – The Confederation of Brazilian Football (CBF) has refused to accept responsibility for the chaos and violence at the World Cup qualifier between Brazil and Argentina at Rio de Janeiro’s Maracana Stadium, claiming that local authorities had not objected to security arrangements, or to the lack of segregation of the fans.
