June 25 – The US men’s team, still basking in the glory of having beaten arch rivals Mexico in the Nations League final, have gambled on pretty much a complete squad turnover for the Gold Cup, but still maintain they will be competitive.
June 26 – Canada’s journey back towards Concacaf competitiveness continued with 3-0 home win over Haiti (4-0 on aggregate), taking them to the final round of World Cup Qualifying for the first time since France 98.
June 13 –Tickets for the Concacaf Gold Cup final in Las Vegas on August 2 sold out in just 90 minutes after going on sale on Friday, a record for the tournament.
June 9 – Concacaf completed their first round of 2022 World Cup qualifying last night, with six nations progressing to the next knock out stage that will whittle them down to three teams for the final 8-team qualifying group.
June 8 – The first round of Concacaf qualification for the Qatar 2022 World Cup reaches its final stage of group games tonight with five of the six groups going down to the wire.
June 4 – The Concacaf Nations League final on Sunday will be a repeat of the 2019 Gold Cup final with both the US and Mexico winning their semi-finalsat Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado. But it took an 89thminute header and a penalty shoot out to see them through.
May 27 – Concacaf preparation for a summer of senior men’s football competition is gathering pace for with the unveiled of the trophy that will be awarded to the first Concacaf Nations League champions next week.
May 21 – Mexico’s grip on the Concacaf Champions League does not look to be slipping with three LigaMX sides lining up for the 2021 semi-finals and one team from the US.
May 14 – Mexico will start off their Gold Cup defence with group games based in North Texas (Arlington and Dallas). The US will play their group games in Kansas while guests Qatar, grouped with Honduras, will be centralised in Houston.
May 11 – The final four countries competing for the first Concacaf Nations League title in June have announced provisional rosters with Christian Pulisic headlining for the USA and Hirving Lozano for Mexico.
April 23 –Concacaf has released detail of the nine stadia that will host Gold Cup group stages and knock-out rounds this summer with a focus on centralising matches around city hubs to reduce team travel.
April 16 – With Concacaf rapidly moving from famine to feast in terms of international football competition, the confederation has announced the Empower Field at Mile High in Denver as the host of the inaugural Concacaf Nations League Finals.
