May 28 – Mauro Silva, aWorld Cup winner with Brazil’s men team in 1994, and Tamires who has more than 100 caps for the Brazilian women’s national team, have joined the SIGA Champions programme.
March 13 – With Brazilian football plagued by accusations of match-fixing and corruption the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has agreed a co-operation with the Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) who will work with the federation on “a comprehensive and in-depth process of reforms”.
February 9 – Former European Leagues CEO turned sport integrity guru Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros (pictured right), has picked up two new roles within the B20 Brazil and the European Commission.
August 18 – As part of SIGA’s Sports Integrity Week an independent study will be launched in a special session on September 5 that has the future of football in Brazil as its central theme.
April 27 – SIGA will hold its fourth annual Sport Integrity Week – #SIW2023 – September 4-8. The event will again be a hybrid of webinars and in-person seminars.
July 27 – The Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) has created SIGA Latin America with its Brazilian Members Pacto Pelo Esporte and Arena Hub.
May 19 – The Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) has signed a co-operation agreement with the Benfica Foundation, the non-profit organisation that leads on the Portuguese club’s social programmes.
January 12 – The mercurial Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros is set to continue as the Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) Global CEO for a further four years.
October 1 – The G20 Anti-corruption Working Group, which for the first time includes sport as a specificity within its mandate, has reached consensus on the draft high level principles on Preventing and Combating Corruption.

April 22 – Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros, former European Leagues boss and head of global integrity group SIGA, has said the collapse of the European Super League proposal presents a “unique opportunity to redefine European football” and move away from the days of the ‘gun on the table’ negotiations of Europe’s super wealthy clubs.
June 2 – The Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) has unveiled plans for the first ever Sport Integrity Week from 7-11 September 2020.
May 7 – The Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) has issued a call to the world’s youth to “rise up and drive change” within the sporting industry.
March 24 – Laureus Sport for Good Foundation USA has joined the SIGA community as a ‘Committed Supporter’. .
March 23 – Sports integrity body SIGA has listed on the European Union Transparency Register which makes information public on how the body governs itself as well as information on its financial structure.

February 20 – Sport must be given more power to protect its rights and commercial income from criminal piracy in any form, was the overriding demand from a panel at the World Congress on Global Leadership and Anti-corruption in Sport hoisted by SIGA in Rome.
